Zara's tavern is constantly visited by numerous people throughout a calander year. Especially since it is the only tavern in town. Visitors to our town bring with them news from neighbouring cities and from lands far away. Here you will be able to learn the gossip of the town and pick up scraps of information from other towns and cities of the Realms. If you ever want to learn about something that's happening locally or far away, Zara's Tavern is the place to be. Be it rumours or gossip, the Bards that visit here have many tales to tell and Zara herself is a wealth of information. So look around and chat with Zara or listen to the visiting Bards as they tell all who will listen of their tales and rumours.
Following Zara through the doors into the back room she smiles at you as she approaches a smaller bar and begins to wipe down the polished surface with a dirty looking moist rag. She nods a greeting in your direction as you approach and ask her what gossip or rumours has she heard about the town. Zara smiles and begins to tell you a few things that she has heard in her tavern and around Grindletown recently.
Apparently many townspeople of Grindletown believe that the new Protectors are possessed of monsters who prowl around the streets at night in search for prey. Consequently many people give the Protectors a wide bearth fearing that they will be next on the menu.
It is also rumoured that the leader of the
Protectors is a demon from another plane pretending to be a human who has moved to these parts.
Some people here at the tavern talk of the
winter being so severe this year that the Moonsea may even freeze
over for awhile. The mornings have gotten quite cold for this
time of year and not even the High Priest of Chauntea has any
explanation for this cold snap.
These are all of the rumours that you can wrest from Zara or the Bards present at the Tavern this eve. Perhaps when you return on your next stop through town there may be more gossip for you to listen too!
Looking around the tavern common room and the bar you don't see any visiting Bards this evening to tell you of stories from lands far away.
No Bards available at this time. Come
back a little later and there may be some new people in town.
